Once again Equality Fairfax and Dulles Triangles have joined together to bring you the Fourth Annual Equality Fairfax Spring Dance

The dinner part of the dance is sold out! We will see you next year!

The dance is a little later this year but it will still be an event to remember. The cocktail hour begins at 6:30 pm in the outside Courtyard Tent area with hors’douvres, and cocktails available for purchase. We will move into the ballroom at 7:30 p.m. where we will settle in for a sit down dinner and then dancing till Midnight. Back by popular demand is DJ Myra and she will have games to engage us and prizes for a few lucky winners (What is the big door prize this year? Come and find out). Bring your partner, come with a group or just bring yourself – we have room for everyone.

For those who wish to secure a hotel room at the Holiday Inn at Tysons for the evening we have been given a special rate for a King or a Queen room. They are available to us for $99 dollars for the night. You must mention Equality Fairfax when you reserve your room in order to get the discounted rate, you have until 5pm on May 11, 2007 so don’t wait too long.

Educating voters about the discriminatory Marshall/Newman amendment is the most important work we can do. We’re finding people are grateful to know the amendment will be on the ballot in November. And once we have an opportunity to explain the full impact of the amendment, they generally do not like it.

Join us for 30, 60 or 90 minutes to make some calls and talk with voters. Training, coaching, food and team spirit provided!

Get your tickets today for the annual Spring Dance, co-sponsored by Equality Fairfax and Dulles Triangles on Saturday, May 6. Join us at the Tyson’s Corner Holiday Inn for appetizers, a no-host bar, and a sit-down dinner before dancing and socializing. Dress is “snappy casual” for this fun, festive event.

If you would like to volunteer to help us with planning, decorating, sign-in table, clean-up, etc. please let us know.

If you have paid your 2006 dues to Equality Fairfax or Dulles Triangles, your ticket cost is $35. Tickets are $40 for people who aren’t a paid member of either organization.

On Thursday, March 9th, 150 of the Washington area’s best restaurants will join together and donate 25-100% of their sales to support Food & Friends. Gather your family, friends and colleagues, make a reservation, and Dine Out at one of the participating restaurants on March 9th.

Established in 1988, Food & Friends was founded to provide home-delivered meals and friendship to people living with devastating illness. Six days a week, Food & Friends provides home-delivered, freshly-prepared meals, groceries and nutrition counseling to more than 1,000 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, breast and colon cancer, and many other life-challenging illnesses.
