Mautner Project, the National Lesbian Health Organization, is in need of some great interns. Our organization is dedicated to improving the health of lesbian, bisexual, and transgender women who partner with women through outreach, education, research, and direct client services. Our interns work on a variety of projects including:
Outreach and Events. Interns help organize and run outreach and fundraising events of all sizes, from galas to health fairs.
Education. Interns help educate others through promotional materials, training seminars, and other events.
Research.Internsassist with the details of major research projects including participant recruitment, focus group facilitation, data entry and analysis.
Direct Services. Interns help organize volunteers for clients with life-altering illnesses. These volunteers and interns provide support over the telephone or in person, and assist daily living assistance such as transportation to a doctor’s appointment, child care, pet care, grocery shopping, etc.
Administrative Support. Interns assist with clerical details, data entry, document and web design, and telephone support.
Interns will acquire all these resume-building skills and more while working with a fabulous and fun community of colleagues and clients.
