TGEA is a non-profit corporation that seeks to serve the needs and interests of all the people in the gender community, those affected by our community and those who serve our community.
TGEA is the largest of several gender based support groups in the Washington, DC area. Our membership varies, but remains within 60-80 at any time. We trace our roots back thirty years to Delta Chi, one of the earliest "open" groups to support all who define themselves as transgendered. Our membership is culturally, racially and gender diverse. We make no judgments on sexual orientation or life goals.http://www.tgea.net/
