Fourth Annual Commonwealth Dinner

Tickets are now available! Equality Virginia's Fourth Annual Commonwealth Dinner is Saturday, April 14th, 2007, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Come be a part of Virginia's largest gala celebration in support of the Commonwealth's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender citizens.

The theme of this year's dinner is "Writing the Next Chapter." Virginia's LGBT community and its straight allies have worked extremely hard over the past several years to fight against discrimination and educate family, friends and neighbors about issues important to our community. With a newfound strength and our many new allies, Equality Viriginia is preparing for a new era in our struggle for equal rights under the law. We want you to help us write this new chapter in Virginia's LGBT rights history. To help commemorate this exciting time, we have pulled together a wonderful line-up of award recipients and entertainers, including:

• Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank : Keynote Speaker
• The Weinstein and Jecklin Family: Equality Commonwealth Award
• Viola Baskerville, Secretary of Administration: Equality Public Servant Award

Emceeing the event will be Gaye Adegbalola, the award winning blues musician and accomplished activist, speaker and educator.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the amazing blues duo Gaye and Roddy .
