Register for Lobby Day - January 17

Become a Lobbyist for a Day!

On January 17th, join hundreds of other concerned Virginians for Equality Virginia's annual Lobby Day.

No experience is necessary. You will be teamed with other activists and visit state legislators in a group. Training will be provided, including information on the bills that we will be lobbying in support of or against.

One bill which we will lobby against is an anti-GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) bill which would make it more difficult for students to form GSAs in their schools by requiring parental consent for all after school activities. The Family Foundation is supporting this bill -- read their alert.

Last year, nearly 500 Virginians from across the state, gay and allied, attended lobby day and spoke with every member of the General Assembly. This year we need to ensure that we have equal or greater numbers.
