ABBA is resurrected yet again.  This time around it's Mama Mia! - the movie, starring Meryl Streep.

Join EF board members Linda Thomas and Doug Reimel to see Mama Mia! at the Tysons Corner 16 Movie Theater in Tysons Corner Mall. The movie starts at 7:25pm, so let's meet near the ticket window  at 7:00pm.  Please RSVP to info@equalityfairfax.org so we'll know to expect you.

Happy Hour
Thursday, August 21st
6:00-8:30pm
Foxfire Grill (in Pinecrest Shopping Center)
6550 Little River Turnpike

Alexandria, VA 22312

It has been awhile since Equality Fairfax has partnered with the Foxfire Grill for a Happy Hour but that hasn't stopped the patrons of the Foxfire Grill from having a good time. As a matter of fact the owners of the Pinecrest Shopping Center are renovating the exterior of the Shopping Center but there is still plenty of fun going on in the interior.

Come join Equality Fairfax and Foxfire Grill for happy hour. We start at 6:00 pm and runs on to 8:30 pm - if your still having fun get a table and enjoy a nice dinner and continue your conversations. Specials on offer: $4 Coronas and $5 Wings.

The bar area is intimate, so it'll be easy to find the EF folks. For more information about Foxfire Grill go to www.foxfire-grill.com

Kayaking
Saturday, August 9th, 8:30am
Fountainhead Regional Park
10875 Hampton Road
Fairfax Station, VA 22039

Who needs Starbucks to wake up in the morning. How about a nice relaxing morning on the water in a slow moving kayak floating down the Occoquan chatting away with friends. If your a perky person in the AM you can talk someone into a quick race. What  better way to start off your Saturday morning.

Join Equality Fairfax at Fountainhead Regional Park for a good day on the water. It is calm and the scenery beautiful, perfect for beginners and nice for experienced kayakers as well. A great opportunity for your first kayak experience.

We'll meet at 8:30am prompt at the rental building at the marina. We should be ready to launch by 9:00 am.

We are starting early before it gets too hot and to make sure that we can get the kayaks as reservations for the kayaks are not accepted by the park.

Kayaks are for rent at the park -- $7 per hour, life vest flat fee of $3.00 or bring your own. There is a very easy in and out for launching the kayaks. There are also canoes available to rent. Don't forget to bring some water to drink. Folks with their own kayaks are more than welcome to join in.

After we kayak, for those who wish to go, we will be going to the Austin Grill off of Old Keene Mill Road in Springfield for brunch.

For information on the park and directions go to Fountainhead website. For more information about the kayak outing, email info@equalityfairfax.org
