The Indigo Girls at Wolf Trap

The show last night at Wolf Trap was an absolute blast. I hope the Indigo Girls never get tired of playing Closer to Fine, because I never get tired of hearing it!

Brandi Carlisle opened and, though I wasn't familiar with her, she did a nice mix of covers and original music. There were lots of other people there who did know her music because she had a very enthusiastic greeting from the crowd.

I'm not sure what I can say about the Indigo Girls that hasn't been said by others, but it's always a treat to hear them perform live. They have been playing together so long that they blend together perfectly. My stress level from work has been pretty high the last couple of weeks and I ould feel all that stress slowly dissipate as the night went on.

The only downside to the night was the camera nazis telling me I couldn't take pictures so I've no photos from the concert to share. I checked the website but there wasn't anything about a camera prohibition. It's a shame that larger venues feel the need to be so controlling. It would have been nice to share a few images of the night with those that couldn't be there to hear it in person.
