Fairfax County is a big place and it's hard to create a sense of community when simply getting from one end of the county to the other is a challenge. To help alleviate that situation, EF has created a Yahoo Group to bring the community directly to your inbox or web browser.

Our website and mailing list are great for getting information out to you but they don't give much chance for you to speak except in limited ways. The Yahoo Group is there to give you a place to talk to the rest of the LGBT community here in Fairfax. Discuss whatever is on your mind: social events, housing, news, whatever strikes your fancy.

The only requirement is to keep the discussions polite and appropriate for all readers. Whie it's perfectly appropriate to lookg for folks to attend events with, it isn't a dating or hook up spot so please steer clear of those subjects. If that's what you are looking for there are plenty of websites that cater to that. We're here to give a voice for the community in Fairfax County to talk, make news friends and, hopefully, help foster that sense of community that is hard to capture in a big county.
