Recovering from a Major Website Disaster
You may have noticed that the EF website hasn't quite been its normal self over the last month. Things are slowly getting back to normal but we want to apologize for the glitch.
Our hosting provider had a major disk failure and the "daily backups" that were supposed to have happened (one of the reasons we selected the provider) hadn't happened for two months. The net result is that roughly two months of content vanished without a chance of recovery. This affected not only EF but every customer that was hosted on that particular server.
Unfortunately, two months of newsletter subscription status changes also vanished. If you subscribed or unsubscribed to our mailing list between mid-October and mid-January, that information was lost. You will need to re-subscribe or re-unsubscribe. We apologize for the hassle.
We are still picking up the pieces from this but hope to have things running smoothly again, now.
