Act Now for Non-discrimination in Fairfax County

We need your help NOW to protect GLBT citizens of Fairfax County.

The Fairfax County government wants to provide protection to the GLBT community by including sexual orientation (inclusive of gender identity) into its non-discrimination policies.  Unfortunately, Fairfax County cannot make this change with authorization from the state of Virginia.

On Friday, a bill allowing Fairfax County to add sexual orientation to its local non-discrimination ordinances and polices will be considered by the House committee on Counties, Cities and towns.

We need your help in contacting the committee members to tell them how important it is for Fairfax County to be able to make this choice to protect its citizens.  The bill does not require any other jurisdiction to provide protection based upon sexual orientation.  Fairfax County should have the authority to change its own non-discrimination policies. 

Please phone as many of the committee members below and make your voice heard!  Just call the delegates (or their legislative aides) below and tell them to support HB 675 - Fairfax County Non-Discrimination Bill. The bill will be voted on Friday morning -- so please call today or Thursday.
