LBGTQIA Domestic Violence Awareness Program
Submitted by linda on September 26, 2007 - 3:40pm.
Doorways for Women and Families has partnered with the Virginia Rainbow Ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Arlington to host an awareness event that will address domestic/intimate partner violence within the LGBTQIA community. At the event, we will be showing My Girlfriend Did It, which is a short film that offers a glimpse into the additional challenges faced by those in the LGBTQIA community who have been impacted by violence. There will also be a discussion to follow that will allow for Q & A of participants/attendees.
The event will begin at 7:00pm (probably ending around 8:30pm) on Wednesday, October 17th, and will take place in the large fellowship hall at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Arlington (at the corner of George Mason Drive and Route 50/Arlington Boulevard).
