Wine, Cheese, Warner and Webb - An Evening of Action

Come one, come all! Join us as we gather for wine and cheese, and a time to TAKE ACTION.

Join Equality Fairfax, the Human Rights Campaign, and Equality Virginia for a fun and eventful evening as we take action to contact Virginia Senators Warner and Webb to support the GLBT community.

The Hate Crimes Prevention Act is expected to be voted on by the Senate at the end of this month. The conservative right is making a HUGE push to defeat this critical legislation. Help us show the power of the GLBT community by taking action! Action will include letter writing and providing information on how best to contact and persuade our senators.

Evening begins at 7pm for wine and cheese as people gather. Then time for action - just us for an evening of Wine, Cheese, Warner and Webb.

** Note Warner and Webb won't be present -- but after this evening of action they will know how much we care about passing this important legislation.

Summer is upon us and it is time to enjoy some good company and a little conversation on the Back Porch of Coastal Flats. Come early to get a seat and enjoy the nice breeze and a Mojito.

Look for the Equality Fairfax hosts, we will be the ones wearing EF stickers. Come out for an evening of community and meeting new friends.

6th Annual Summer Picnic

When was the last time you went to an old fashioned Picnic? You know the one with burgers and hot dogs grilling, potato salad chilling, and people sitting around chatting, waiting for the picnic games to begin.

Are you the one who enjoys picnic games? Does your competitive streak come alive during the three legged race or water ballon toss. How about some bocce ball or you just tossing around a Frisbee with some fellow picnic goers. Or a more sedate game of scrabble?

Catch up with old friends and meet some new ones - mingling is encouraged.

Parking is available, there is ample shade as well as a covered area if the weather is less than perfect. Bring your own meat or veggie burger to grill. We will supply the charcoal, buns, condiments, side dishes, cups, plates and plastic ware.

Toss in a lawn chair and your favorite picnic items and join us.

Children are allowed
Dogs are allowed (must be leashed)
No Alcohol Beverages (park rules)

We will have raffle tickets available for purchase for a limited time at the beginning of the picnic. Prices are $2 each, 3 for $5 or 15 for $20.
