Advocacy
- Alexandria Gay & Lesbian Community Association – The Alexandria GLCA is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Alexandria, Virginia, that strives to enhance the quality of life for the local GLBT community through social activities, political awareness, and community service.
- Arlington Gay & Lesbian Alliance – AGLA is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to improve the quality of life and meet the needs of the Gay and Lesbian community throughout Arlington, Virginia.
- Equality Loudoun – Equality Loudoun is a nonpartisan community and advocacy organization committed to improving the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in Loudoun County and creating a climate that reflects the diversity of the community in which we live.
- Equality Prince William – Equality Prince William is a non-partisan organization formed to address equal rights issues for gays, lesbians and transgendered individuals (GLBT) from a local, Greater Prince William County perspective.
- Equality Virginia – Equality Virginia is a statewide, non-partisan lobbying, education and support network for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight allied (GLBT) communities in Virginia.
- Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, National Capital Area – The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
- Human Rights Campaign – As America’s largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, the Human Rights Campaign provides a national voice on GLBT issues.
- Mautner Project – The Mautner Project improves the health of lesbians and their families through advocacy, education, research, and direct service. We envision a healthcare system that is guided by social justice and responsive to the needs of all people.
- Nova Youth – LGBT Youth in Virginia
- PFLAG, Metro DC – Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays promotes the equality and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons, their families and friends.
- Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League – The Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL) is the only youth service agency solely dedicated to meeting the needs of youth ages 13-21 in the metropolitan Washington, DC area who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex.
- Transgender Education Association – TGEA is a non-profit corporation that seeks to serve the needs and interests of all the people in the gender community, those affected by our community and those who serve our community.
Community

- Burgundy Crescent Volunteers – Our purpose is twofold. First, we are a source of volunteers for gay and gay-friendly community organizations in the DC area. Second, we bring GLBT singles and couples together for volunteer activities that are social in nature.
- Cypress Project – The Cypress Project is dedicated to the healing and restoration of those targeted by anti-gay bias crimes in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- D.C.’s Different Drummers – D.C.’s Different Drummers is the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Symphonic Band, Swing Band, Marching Band, and Pep Band.
- Dulles Triangles – The Dulles Triangles is a well rounded social club for area gays, lesbians, bisexuals and their family and friends whose purpose is to offer an alternative outlet for social activities.

- Prime Timers of Washington, DC – Prime Timers of Washington, D.C. is a social organization for older gay and bisexual men and their admirers. It is a catalyst for bringing together men with “like interests” for social and recreational activities. We currently have over 100 active members

- Northern Virginia Aids Ministry – Since 1987, Northern Virginia AIDS Ministry (NOVAM) has played a significant role in the struggle against the AIDS epidemic by providing responsive programs throughout Northern Virginia.

- Food and Friends – Food & Friends prepares, packages and delivers meals and groceries to more than 1,000 people living with HIV/AIDS and other life-challenging illnesses throughout Washington, DC and 14 counties of Maryland and Virginia.
