New Contact Form for Website

The EF website now has a new contact us form. The new form allows you to direct your question according to subject. This should streamline the process of getting feedback back from us.

There was also some minor clean up of the site menus. A few of them had gotten a bit mangled during the site upgrade process.

As always, let us know if you experience any problems.

Major Website Upgrade Completed

Two Days to Go! We're TIED! - Pass It On!

The Commonwealth Coalition has been saying since July that, when voters are informed, the referendum on Ballot Question #1 is a statistical dead heat. The Washington Post poll a couple of weeks ago added credibility to our case.

Now, a Mason Dixon  poll out today shows unequivocally that this election is TIED!  The Mason Dixon poll asked 625 likely voters how they would vote on Ballot Question #1.  49% said that they would vote yes (down from 52% in a previous poll) and 45% said that they would vote NO (up from 42% in the previous poll).  Since the margin of error in the poll was 4%, the results mean that the election is a dead heat!  TIED!   And in Northern Virginia, it isn't even close with 60% saying that they are NO voters and only 38% on the yes side.

So, now there's even more reason to BELIEVE!

We can become the first state to say NO! We can make the right kind of history on Tuesday!  All we have to do is believe and vote!

It's all up to you!

If you have friends, family, or co-workers that you haven't talked with about why they should vote NO, please call them.   Call everyone stored on your cell phone!  Call everyone in your rolledex.  Send an email to everyone who you know.  Make it personal!  Do it now!

If you haven't signed up to work the polls on election day, please call 804-643-2050, 703-442-9590 or 757-622-8283 to volunteer.  We still need pollworkers for Tuesday!

Vote NO on NOvember 7th!

Believe!!!

Claire Guthrie GastaƱaga

Campaign Manager

The Commonwealth Coalition

P.S.  NOVA isn't alone in thinking that the proposed amendment is a bad idea!

Check out what's happening all over the state:

The Culpeper Star Examiner says vote NO!

The Lynchburg News and Advance says Virginia should be the first state to vote NO! And, so do more than 900 local citizens who signed a full page ad urging a NO vote that also appeared today.

The Richmond Free Press says NO is the right vote on Tuesday!

The Bristol Herald Courier says that Ballot Question #1 is "redundant and unnecessary"! "Voters should think twice before tampering with these Constitutions to restrict freedom rather than to expand it. That's not the American way, nor is it a particularly conservative action."

It's time to send a message that Virginia has no more time for the politics of division and exclusion!  Vote NO on November 7th!

Multiple Emails Accidentally Sent
