Volunteer for the Reston Festival!

The Reston Festival is next up on EF's list of fairs leading up to the November election. The Festival is a two day event, July 8th & 9th. We need a total of 10 volunteers for Saturday, the 8th and 8 volunteers for Sunday the 9th. If you can come out and work a two hour shift you can help get the word out about the damage the Marshall/Newman "Marriage" Amendment will do to both the gay and straight community.

We've found that most people don't know it's on the poll but once they learn about it they are opposed the ammendment. These fairs are a great opportunity to reach out to thousands of people a day in Fairax County.

Please let us know if you would like to volunteer on Saturday or volunteer on Sunday. You can also send an email to volunteer@equalityfairfax.org.

We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to our own Eva Freund for being named a 2006 Capital Pride Hero

Equality Fairfax is proud that Eva and her partner Elke Martin are Charter Members since EF's beginning in 2002. Thanks, Eva, for getting our movement started in the Washington, DC area and for continuing to fight for equality in Virginia. We're proud of you, and very grateful.

This is OUR Pride weekend! Here's what EF is up to.

Join Equality Fairfax at several events this weekend.  We hope you'll stop by our booths at the Celebrate Fairfax Fair (Friday-Monday) and Capital Pride (Sunday).  It's not too late to volunteer - if you have a few extra hours this weekend, please let us know via email to  read more »
